love you so much

Hear this praises from a grateful heart
Each time I think of You The praises start
Love You so much, Jesus
Love You so much
Lord, I love You, my soul singsIn Your presence
Carried on Your wingsLove You so much, JesusLove You so much

Chorus:How my soul longs for you
Longs to worship You forever
In Your power and majestyLift my hands,
lift my heartLift my voice towards the heavens
For You are my sun and shield

BUSH REACHES OUT TO DEMOCRATS BUT ARMS ARE TOO SHORT

President Bush traveled to the House Democrats’ annual retreat this weekend in Williamsburg, Virginia, in an effort to reach out to the new congressional majority. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced him from a lectern bearing the slogan, “Governing for a New Direction,” but the President spoke from his own lectern, emblazoned with the slogan, “You’re Either With Me or Against Me.” After Pelosi pledged that she will reverse years of partisan sniping and gridlock in Washington, the President responded, "I agree, Madam Speaker. I came here to show folks that we can get beyond the politics of Washington, and we've accomplished that. We’re three hours away.”

Sad news all around...

Molly Ivins, R.I.P. She was a wonderful person, witty, charming and a great writer. I miss her already.

And, on all days, Hugo Chavez has finally become a full fledged Peronist, something I always hoped would not happen. Still, maybe some good will come out of it, but I think instead one will see political repression in Venezuela more than reforms. By "reforms," I mean new laws where the Venezuelans secure more control over their nation's natural resources and finances. Despite my misgivings, I would still oppose the Bush administration attempting to invade or de-stabilize Venezuela. The Venezuelan people will take care of their own government if or when Chavez begins to abuse this ridiculous power the Venezuelan legislature has ceded to him.

How should I use LearnEnglish?

LearnEnglish is not a 'course'. It doesn't have Unit 1 followed by Unit 2, etc.

Instead, LearnEnglish is a like a restaurant with a long menu of learning activities.

Today you might want to practise some grammar. Tomorrow you might want to play one of our games or read a story. Soup, meat or fish - you'll find them all here.

the archives
Most pages on LearnEnglish are put into an Archive. That means you should always be able to find your favourites pages in the future. The only exception to this is when we have a technical redesign, which may mean that certain areas may no longer work and have to be cut.

what about levels?
LearnEnglish is not designed for complete beginners in English or very advanced learners, but every learner in between should be able to find something they can understand and practise.

Because some languages are more similar to English than other languages, what is easy for one person might be more difficult for people who speak a different language.

And sometimes you will want to try and do more difficult things on the site because you are interested in the subject.

We think the best person to say if a game or text is too difficult is - you! Try an exercise, see how you go, try it again later. See if you improve!
